What do ube mochis taste like?

Ube, also known as purple sweet potatoes, are tubers native to tropical regions of Asia. Their flesh is a deep purple and they are often used in Asian cuisine for their unique flavor and vibrant color.

Ube has a delicate flavor that is often described as a blend of nutty and vanilla with light floral notes . This gives mochi a natural, but not overwhelming, sweetness that leaves you feeling light and refreshed after each bite.
