The origin of mochi daïfuku!

Originating from Asia, mochi is an essential traditional Japanese pastry. Traditional mochi daifuku consists of a ball made of glutinous rice filled with delicious red bean paste and is eaten during the tea ceremony in order to reduce the bitterness of the tea. This is a filled mochi. Indeed, the word mochi only describes glutinous rice paste. This is why mochis exist in various forms, such as frozen mochis, on skewers (dango), soft mochis (gyuhi) but the best known remains daifuku.
